The price of housing rentals in Spain increased by 10.2% in September in an interannual rate, but fell by 2.4% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 13 euros per square meter, according to data from the Idealista real estate portal. "The current rental situation in Spain is alarming and requires immediate solutions. To urgently put an end to this bleeding of supply that is skyrocketing prices, we have to see owners as the solution and not the problem," he asked. Idealista spokesperson, Francisco Iñareta.
The expert has blamed the "years of restrictive policies" for having caused the withdrawal of homes from the market, as well as that of potential investors, for which he has called for measures to "make more flexible and balance" the relationship between the parties and provide the owner "greater legal certainty".
